Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Christ-church-logo-76We are a fully inclusive school. We aim to ensure all pupils achieve their potential, personally, socially, emotionally and academically in all areas of the curriculum, (Regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual identity, physical ability or educational needs). Our SENCO is Miss Grimshaw.

Children may have special educational needs that require additional support when progress has slowed or stopped. We implement a graduated approach based on the guidance from Bradford Metropolitan District Council’s Children’s Services for SEN. This is based on an Assess-Plan-Do-Review 3 range structure.

Our local offer describes how we meet the needs of children with a variety of difficulties at Christ Church Academy. Please click on the link below to see our Local School Offer

SEN Complaints Procedure

If parents have a complaint about the SEN provision in the academy they should initially speak to the class teacher. If an issue remains unresolved we ask parents to follow our Trust policy for Complaints, which provides a structure to follow, including a complaints form, should it be required. Please see below.
