Welcome to Our Nursery

Hi Parents,

We have now settled all our new children into Nursery and they are ready to begin their learning journeys along with our more settled children.  This half term our topic is ‘Shiny things and dark and Light’ We will be investigating the changes happening between day and night, looking at shadows and sources of light. We will also be getting ready for our Christmas play as we have a lot of songs to learn. We have been encouraging the children to be more independent helping with their own clothing, and using things within Nursery and then putting them away in the correct place when they have finished.

Indoor Areas of Provision

The areas of provision change each half term to support the learning taking place. We follow the children’s interests to make sure they are engaged in the activities and encourage the children to use them independently, supporting when needed and scaffolding learning opportunities. Our calm and nurturing environment helps the children feel comfortable and at ease which aids in their learning and helps integrate them into school life.

Outdoor Area

We use the outdoor area every day,  it is a very important part of the children’s learning., so children should have a pair of willies that can be left at school for rainy days.  As the weather is getting colder children should have a warm coat with a hood, a hat and scarf and also some gloves, to allow them to play out and stay warm.
